How do you shoot your own foot while coding?
In RPG, each line ends with a semicolon (';') but I accidentally typed a colon (':') in several lines. Programmers are lazy and I am no exception. So I run a scan-replace changing all the : into ; . But now the compiles starts to complain (yep happens often) cause in function)-calls the parameters are separated by ; and not by : as they should be.
Scan-replace is your best friend. But your worst enemy at the same time.

Talking about foot-shooting.
I still go to physio and I still walk there. I can cut trough some fields to almost half the distance. Now with a bad knee I didn't want to stumble trough an un-even over grown fields in the dark. So all trough winter and early spring I kept to the road, the longer distance was a good exercise in it's own right. Spring is well advanced now so it's clear when I finish. And it's been dry so there is no crawling trough mud.
So I took the short-cut today.
Only I started out on an unused part of the field and suddenly found myself surrounded by nettles. Imagine me, and old man wearing short trousers, shorts socks and shoes, surrounded by an army of young vigorous nettles aggressively waving they pricky leaves. Unprepared and out numbered one to a thousand I took up the battle and, after an epic struggle broke trough their ranks to regain my freedom.
While I slayed and trampled whole battalions of their soldiers they couldn't stop and kill me. They did score some hits though.
So now I am tending my battle wounds.
